GOD & ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (Ai)

Image
This piece was inspired by a recent personal experience. As someone working in the creative field, I am often required to consistently generate new ideas. In using AI recently, I observed that results were produced much faster than traditional methods, which typically require significant time and resources. With AI, feedback was available within seconds or minutes. However, the tool’s effectiveness still depended on my input of thoughts and ideas—highlighting that creativity originates internally before being processed by technology... Voila!!! Artificial Intelligence (AI) is advancing quickly, which some find alarming, and others see as advantageous. Its increasing intelligence stems from continuous learning and frequent use of its tools. This leads me to reflect on the verse in In Proverbs 27:17 The word of God is wisdom, it is knowledge, and it is also understanding…Man created Ai but man was created by God and God deposited creativity in His creatures, one cannot place Ai above G...

THREE - PERFECT, WHOLESOME & COMPLETE

Image
THREE – PERFECT, WHOLESOME & COMPLETE I happen to observe a pattern about God and that He is a Perfect, Complete and Wholesome.   The number three is significant in various aspects of life, ranging from spirituality to arts and culture, as well as psychology, economics, social, and political areas. I will focus on the spiritual bit of it and just touch a little on the other aspects since my focus is on the spiritual significance of it.   The earth we live on was created on the third day Gen 1:9-10 And God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear.” And it was so. 10God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good. In the book of Judges Gideon gathered over 30,000 men but God at the end of the day selected 300 of them Judges 7:6 'And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, were th...

JOY IN THE FACE OF CHAOS

Image
JOY IN THE FACE OF CHAOS Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Romans 12:12   Psalm 119:111 says Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the  rejoicing  of my heart. The word Rejoicing appears 28 times in 28 verses in KJV Bible. To be joyful (i do not mean happy) is an attitude and not a state which is being happy. No matter the pain or disappointment, trusting in God helps us overcome challenges, turning them into testimonies that bring Him joy. After his trials, Job became significant in the context of God's favour. Reflect on whether the challenges you are experiencing will lead to a positive outcome over time. Will your trust be acknowledged, and will you feel confident as a result?   Psalm 34:2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD the humble shall hear thereof and be glad . The soul refers to the inner being, the seat of emotion or passion, and the tru...

WHAT IS IT THAT YOU HAVE DONE?

Image
WHAT IS IT THAT YOU HAVE DONE? Judges 2:2 Reflecting upon the moments in life when choices are made, particularly in solitude, one is compelled to consider the profound influence of such decisions. The question "What is it   that have you done?" resonates deeply across time, threading through narratives of faith and human experience. It is a question that calls for introspection and accountability, urging individuals to examine the alignment of their actions with higher principles. The above verse from Judges 2:2 is the last statement/question blurted out by the prophet to the people of Bochim This statement expresses chagrin, signifying intense regret, embarrassment, and frustration. Throughout history, people have sometimes taken actions that conflict with ethical or moral principles, affecting their relationships with others and especially God. We trace this to Genesis 3:13 when God asked Eve “what is this you have done”? after she had eaten the forbidden fruit when...

WITTY LEAGUES...SECRET ALTARS

Image
Witty Leagues … Secret Altars Judges 2:2 And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this? ...KJV The people of Israel were in league with the inhabitants of this land (later to be named Bochim meaning land of weeping). They had covenanted with unbelievers and God had warned them not to since there are negative consequences. Inappropriate associations can result in either you being influenced, or you are influencing others.  In a time when Israel had no clear-cut leader (many years after the death of Joshua there was a leadership vacuum save occasionally a man of God comes in to make pronouncement. If you recall after the death of Joshua and the leaders within that period had died the new generation had no clue of what God had done for them from Egypt through to the wilderness and the promised land. Consider this - will our children and descendants know, understand,...

WATCH YOUR SIDES

Image
WATCH YOUR SIDES Judges 2:1-5 The individual referred to as the "Man of God" moved from Gilgal to Bochim. Gilgal was the initial campsite for the people of Israel, and it is noted as the location where the reproach of Egypt was removed from the people of Israel. It is the place where prophets reside Samuel and Saul offered sacrifices to God and was the same place Samuel was made a Judge and Saul a king.   It can therefore be said to be a holy ground. Joshua made Gilgal his command centre – Gilgal appears 41 times in 39 books of the bible showing the significance of the area. The number 39 refers to the number of stripes Jesus was scourged with which can be linked to the sacrifice of Jesus to humankind. Joshua, Samuel and Saul offered burnt sacrifices to the Lord at Gilgal. Note that Gilgal was a dwelling place of prophets since it is about 7km away from Shiloh and Bethel. The prophet left Gilgal a place where reproach was taken away, a place where sacrifices are made to Go...
